The Finance Miracle ("we," "our," or "us") operates the personal financial dashboard at thefinancemiracle.com. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. What We Collect

When you connect your financial accounts through our dashboard, we access the following data via Plaid, Inc.:

• Account balances — current and available balances for checking, savings, credit, and investment accounts
• Transactions — up to 24 months of transaction history including amount, date, merchant, and category
• Investment holdings — securities, quantities, and current values in brokerage and retirement accounts

We do not collect or store your bank login credentials. Authentication is handled entirely by Plaid using bank-level security.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your financial data is used solely to:

• Display account balances and net worth on your private dashboard
• Categorize and visualize your income and expenses for cash flow tracking
• Show investment holdings and portfolio allocation
• Generate retirement projections based on your savings rate and portfolio
• Provide personalized financial insights and tax optimization suggestions

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal financial data with any third parties. Your data is used exclusively within your private dashboard. The only external service that accesses your bank data is Plaid, Inc., which acts as the secure intermediary between your financial institutions and our application.

4. Plaid Integration

We use Plaid to connect to your financial institutions. By linking your accounts, you agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy. Plaid collects and processes your data according to their own privacy practices, including:

• Account and routing numbers
• Balance and transaction information
• Account holder identity information

We access only the data products we have explicitly enabled: Transactions, Balance, and Investments.

5. Data Storage and Security

• All data is stored in encrypted databases (AWS DynamoDB with encryption at rest)
• Data in transit is protected with TLS/SSL encryption
• Access tokens from Plaid are stored securely in AWS and are never exposed to the frontend
• The application is access-controlled and limited to authorized users only

6. Data Retention

Transaction data is retained for up to 24 months from the transaction date and automatically purged thereafter. Account balance snapshots are retained for historical net worth tracking. You may request deletion of all your data at any time by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — view all data we have collected about you
• Delete — request deletion of your data and disconnection of linked accounts
• Revoke — disconnect your bank accounts at any time through the dashboard or by contacting Plaid directly

8. Cookies

We use minimal cookies solely for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics platforms, or advertising pixels.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
